This DeWalt one-piece core bit has an SDS-Max shank that prevents the bits from slipping in high-torque drilling applications when creating large, shallow holes in concrete, masonry, and limestone. The bits install into compatible rotary hammer drills with SDS-Max chucks, and they can be changed in the chucks with one hand. SDS-Max chucks have spring-loaded balls that fit into the grooves on the bits' shanks to hold the bits in place in the chucks.
